How to get refund from the App Store for that app you “accidentally” bought? 2014

There are over thousands of apps on the iOS App store and most of them are craptacular and sometimes you download a paid app by accident or the app is not compatible with your device or its just not what you thought it was or the worst of app its just buggy or keeps crashing.

Can you get a refund from the app store for the app? Well YES you can, Kindof. This isn’t an official refund policiy for the App Store because, the iTunes Store Terms and Conditions specifically states:

All sales and rentals of products are final.
Which means that your outcome might be different. The refund process might take a day to even months and sometimes you might never get your refund.
How to get the refund you might ask, Well there are two steps! One is to report a problem through the Store itself. Which will tell you to Call or E-Mail support and The second way is to go Call, Chat, E-mail the Apple support directly. I have found that going through the store is much faster and easier since they already have your information such as, App name and the problem.

Through the Store

Step 1: Go to https://reportaproblem.apple.com and then, Sign in with your Apple ID.

Step 2: Click on Apps from the navigation panel and then, Choose or Search the App that you what to get the refund for.

Step 3A: Click “Report a Problem”

Step 3B: After you click the button the section will expend and give you a drop down menu to choose one of these options:

  1. I didn’t authorize this purchase
  2. Item didn’t download or can’t be found
  3. Item won’t install or downloads too slowly
  4. Item opens but doesn’t function as expected
  5. Problem is not listed here – This will ask you to describe your problem

Going through the Apple support directlly

You can do this by heading over to this link! You will have to choose iTunes → iTunes Store → (And then choose your problem)

Again, as I said I do think that going through the store is much better since they support already has your infromation!
Also, This isn’t an official refund policiy for the App Store because, the iTunes Store Terms and Conditions specifically states:
