Macbook 2015 – A Macbook for it’s looks not it’s performance or price!

[mks_dropcap style=”letter” size=”52″ bg_color=”” txt_color=”#000000″]T[/mks_dropcap]oday at Apple’s Spring Forward event we didn’t expect a new product lineup other then the Apple Watch but, we did expect a 12in Macbook Air.
Apple decided to create a new product line called the “Macbook” – It’s not branded as the “Macbook Pro” or the “Macbook Air” it’s just the Macbook. The new Macbook (as you will see) is for it’s looks not for how it performs or the price of the laptop.

Something “different” about this new laptop is that It has a USB-C port (other then the 3.5mm headphone jack) which is used for Charging, USB Ports, Display Output. Since there is only one port you can only do one of these functions at the same time until you get at first or third party adapter that can convert this port to one that you need to use. As of now Apple has a $79 adapter that allows you to charge the laptop, use a USB device and a external display. Even though with a adapter you still get USB 3.0 speeds.

RELATED – This new USB-C port is also on the new Chromebook Pixel.

Apple has confirmed that there will be third part adapters.

This compromise was made because, the laptop is only 13.1 mm at it’s thickest. That’s now the only compromise that had to be made – There is also a new “Butterfly” Keyboard and a “Force Touch” Tracpad.

The “Butterfly” keyboard extends the full width of the laptop and with this new keyboard it takes less space and feel the space on any part of the key.

The “Force Touch” tracpad is also not like the traditional mechanical Tracpad. Basically – It’s a touch pad with vibrating moter that “simulates” the feel of a traditional click. This new tracpad can also detect pressure so, for example, you can deep press on a address in a safari or mail window and it show you it on a map.

Another example is If you deep press on a file it will open it in preview.

Apple Watch event is scheduled to be on March 9th – “Spring Forward”

Apple has just announced when it’s Apple Watch event is going to be and it’s on March 9th at 10 a.m. PDT! Of-course a lot of news sources and agencies has been invited but it seems like this year some YouTubers have also been invited like Marques Brownlee – A Huge Tech YouTube celeb and somewhat of a Non-iPhone user has also been invited.

Never the less – We all think that Apple is going to be releasing the Apple Watch to the public at this event.

The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, As it has been for Apple Events. It will start 10 A.M. Pacific Time.

The Invitation that was sent was has the caption “Spring Forward” and it is thought that this is the tagline because the event is the day after the Daylight Saving Time in the United States.

This event is thought to be mainly for the Apple Watch since there is a lot more to cover about the wearable but, It wouldn’t be surprising if Apple sneaks in another announcement because, according to recent rumors the Apple Watch’s battery life might not be that great if it’s not worse then most of the Android Wear watches on the market.

We don’t expect to see new hardware other than the wearable to like a new iPad or iPhone we can see a new software update to go along with the watch.

What ever we see it will hopefully be impressive!

Apple’s is creating a car and it’s a bigger deal then you think!

These roamers have been getting stronger all week but, We might have an answer, WSJ is reporting that it this actually working on a car. Apple has been creating awesome mobile phones and tablet but, Apple now wants to go to another much large product category: automobiles!

The Cupertino, California company apparently has over hundreds of people working on this new project code named: “Titan”! This new car is suppose to electric powered. One of the people have said that Apple is working on a Miniwan type car but, a Apple Spokesman denied to comment. We are not expecting this car to get on the road anytime soon – As much as several years before you can see one of these on the road.

YOU MIGHT NEVER HAVE ONE

Brian White, an analyst at Cantor Fitzgerald, is asking one big question: Will Apple car be “The iPhone of the future?” A note to clients Apple wrote:

Apple has clearly shown its interest in the auto market with CarPlay that was rolled out in early 2014; however, there has never been any official statement around an Apple Car. In our view, as more “things” become computers, we believe Apple is very well positioned to leverage its heritage in the industry developing hardware and software innovations together across a vast digital ecosystem, creating easy to use, aesthetically pleasing products.

“In this comment, White also cites some comments from Ford from last year’s MWC where they called cars “the smartphone of the future.” By looking at the Auto Market this could be significant thing for Apple! It could make upwards of $2 Billion in profit and that’s only 2%.

Everything is speculating that Apple is going to buy Tesla – One of the biggest company in making “expensive” “luxurious” cars! If Apple does-not buy Tesla then there will be quite a big of a competition. These are still rumors and if Apple does make a car then it should be a big deal!

This article will be updated periodically so check back often.

How to get refund from the App Store for that app you “accidentally” bought? 2014

There are over thousands of apps on the iOS App store and most of them are craptacular and sometimes you download a paid app by accident or the app is not compatible with your device or its just not what you thought it was or the worst of app its just buggy or keeps crashing.

Can you get a refund from the app store for the app? Well YES you can, Kindof. This isn’t an official refund policiy for the App Store because, the iTunes Store Terms and Conditions specifically states:

All sales and rentals of products are final.
Which means that your outcome might be different. The refund process might take a day to even months and sometimes you might never get your refund.
How to get the refund you might ask, Well there are two steps! One is to report a problem through the Store itself. Which will tell you to Call or E-Mail support and The second way is to go Call, Chat, E-mail the Apple support directly. I have found that going through the store is much faster and easier since they already have your information such as, App name and the problem.

Through the Store

Step 1: Go to https://reportaproblem.apple.com and then, Sign in with your Apple ID.

Step 2: Click on Apps from the navigation panel and then, Choose or Search the App that you what to get the refund for.

Step 3A: Click “Report a Problem”

Step 3B: After you click the button the section will expend and give you a drop down menu to choose one of these options:

  1. I didn’t authorize this purchase
  2. Item didn’t download or can’t be found
  3. Item won’t install or downloads too slowly
  4. Item opens but doesn’t function as expected
  5. Problem is not listed here – This will ask you to describe your problem

Going through the Apple support directlly

You can do this by heading over to this link! You will have to choose iTunes → iTunes Store → (And then choose your problem)

Again, as I said I do think that going through the store is much better since they support already has your infromation!
Also, This isn’t an official refund policiy for the App Store because, the iTunes Store Terms and Conditions specifically states:
All sales and rentals of products are final.
