A few months ago Samsung announced Samsung Pay – A competitor to Apple Pay. The service is not rolled out yet but, we already have news of Samsung not just implementing their new payment service on mobile which works with NFC and magnetic secure transmission tech. On TV Samsung is creating a PIN based payment systems on selected 2014 and 2015 Smart TVs.
Samsung has partnered with PayPal to create a special version of Samsung Pay for the TV so you know your personal information is safe and secure.
This payment system can be setup with a credit/debit card or with a PayPal account. The payment information can be entered with the new on-screen soft-keyboard. This payment service can be used for in-app purchases in select games and apps on the TV. Don’t get too hyped up just yet as this service is only going to be available in only 32 countries you it’s a good idea to check before you buy a new TV for this service.
The payment process should also be quite simple. When you have a Credit/Debit card registered with the CVV or with a PayPal account you will bed asked to enter your four-digit PIN with the soft-keyboard.

This is also about Samsung opening up its Tizen OS-based smart TVs as a platform for ecommerce.

THE BEAUTY OF IT IS THAT IN MOST CASES, USERS CAN COMPLETE A PAYMENT IN JUST THREE STEPS AFTER THE INITIAL REGISTRATION SETUP. FIRST, CHOOSE THE ITEM YOU WANT TO PURCHASE. THEN SIMPLY PRESS THE ‘PAY NOW’ BUTTON, AND ENTER THE PIN (PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER). THAT’S IT!
